The London Bridge is Indeed, Not Falling Down.

Updated: Dec 27, 2022

Besties, one place that we will spin the block for is London. From food to fun, the capital of England did not disappoint neither the first nor the second time around. The city was eventful all night and day. We hit up several monumental locations including Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge, and Big Ben. The night light was popping as we visited Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park and Club Omeara. Food options did not fall short in London which offered several amazing restaurants and dessert shops including Wagamama, Big Easy, and Creams Café. Speaking of food, let me tell y’all how our journey went while finding somewhere to eat.

It was all good at first... To start the morning, Tat bursts in my room “Girl, I found a breakfast spot and I already know what you’re gonna order!” Now, if you know me like my bestie does then you know I’m a sucker for some Lotus Biscoff cookies, you know, the ones you get on Delta. Anyway, there was Biscoff to the left, Biscoff to the right and chileeeee, ya girl was in heaven! We went to breakfast at a Breaking Bad themed restaurant called Heisenberg Breakfast Co. (Highly recommend). We ordered the stuffed Biscoff French toast loaded with fruit- and the best thing was, it was basically dessert for breakfast (Our parents wouldn’t let us eat sweet stuff for breakfast so were getting our lick back lol).

We continued on with our day and you know what they say… “time flies when you’re having fun.” and before we knew it, it was dinner time.

Now Tat and I are both ramen fiends so when it was time for dinner, we really wanted to go to a place that we visited in 2019 called Oseyo, a convenient store/restaurant… when I tell you that they had the best ramen that we have ever had, I am not lying. Tat was in charge of navigating us and was super excited when she found another Oseyo near the markets that we wanted to visit, so she thought. When the GPS stated that we’ve reached our destination, we were confused because Oseyo was nowhere to be found. We’re steady walking around and looking in circles when Tat finally discovers that she GPS’ed up to the wrong location. Tell me why we ended up in Brixton! (#IYKYK). Mind you we had already spent about a smooth 1.5 hours between walking and catching the train lmao! So were like ok cool, we walked around the markets and even stopped for adult slushes on the way back to the train station. Fast forward an entire hour (we’re at about 3 hours in looking for this restaurant at this point) and were finally back in familiar territory with the bright halo sign reading “Oseyo” in sight. At this point we're geekin' cause we’ve been saving room in our bellies for this bomb ass ramen. How about we walk through the door, READY, only to find that the restaurant portion of Oseyo was closed… BRUH! With hurt feet and feelings, we headed down the street to another ramen spot called Wagyumama so I guess it all worked out in the end.

Long story short, the only thing falling down in London was our hopes for Oseyo!
